The Momentary and INVERSE are hosting this year’s spring residency in Bentonville, Arkansas. With a research focus, this residency will support selected artists in working in a collaborative environment towards new work, to be considered for presentation during the INVERSE Performance Art Festival at the Momentary in November, 2020.
The residency dates are May 17 - 23, 2020 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Artists will be provided shared housing with the INVERSE cohort, a stipend for travel, and a per diem. Rehearsal space and work space as well as any additional needs will be determined between the artist and the residency facilitators.
INVERSE strives to foster local dialogue about performance art on an international scale and build a community of performance artists and supporters. Inverse, as a platform, offers support to artists and new work - engaging local, national, and international communities. Inverse facilitates various forms of engagement: for the space, for the artist and for the viewer. Inverse is an artist-run, community-supported inclusive platform and works with artists from around the world. Inverse provides opportunities for performance work to be cultivated outside of city centers and is committed to supporting new and emerging artists.
